History of the College
PSN College of Engineering and Technology (PSNCET), Tirunelveli, was established by the PSN
Educational and Charitable Trust in the year 2001 under the leadership of Dr. P. Suyambu a multi –
tasked personality with admirable academic excellances.
The College is located at Melathediyoor, 12 km away from Tirunelveli unfolding its grandeur over 27
acres of land. The College exhibits an attractive panorama conducive to education and research due
to its serene surroundings covered by last rows green trees at the backdrop of mountains with birds
chirping all time. PSN college of Engineering and Technology was conferred with AUTONOMOUS status by
University Grants commission (UGC), New Delhi from 2012 – 13 onwards enabling the college to fulfil
the aspirations of the students in getting quality education and better employment.
The PSN group with a network of eight institutions has made tremendous strides in the field of
higher education. PSNCET offers 11 UG, 8 PG and 3 PhD programmes. This institution has been
recognized u/s (2f,12B) by UGC, accredited by NAAC. The college has four centres of excellence –
PSN- BOSCH REXROTH, PSN-INTEL, PCB design and PSN-National Instruments. This is an ISO 9001:2011
certified institution. The College has signed MOU with University of Malaysia Pahang for staff &
student exchange, and collaborative research with VECC, Kolkata. The College will be abide by all
the Regulations of UGC notified from time to time.

Our College Infrastructure
Our College Hostel Facilities
We have provided separate hostel for boys and girls in the college campus. For accommodating the boys we
have more than 250 rooms to accommodate 850 students and accommodating the girls we have more than 100
rooms
to accommodate 500 students.
Living in halls of residing is a brilliant opportunity to make a lot of friends. The world ‘hostel’ does
not describe a place; it describes attitude, a philosophy, a coming together of culturally diverse people
sharing the wonders, high and low, of the traveling adventure. The residential concept at the PSNCET halls
of residence/hostels is to simulate home conditions thereby creating a warm and welcoming communal
camaraderie between guests. This is with the intention of providing the students with the most atmospheres
to pursue their studies in comfort.
Students are allowed to stay outside of the campus with their parents only.

To make banking easier for the Engineering students, 24 hours CITY UNION BANK ATM facility has been provided inside the college premises.Money transactions between the parents and their children are carried out with ease.Hostel inmates avail this provision more.
